Saint Ann Capital Campaign Gatherings
As was mentioned last weekend we have had to modify our approach, which was heavily dependent on parish gatherings to discuss the parish capital campaign, to answer your questions and to build support.
We will conduct fewer and shorter Gatherings than planned and they will be held in a redesigned format.
Gatherings will be held in the Family Life Center on Monday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 1 and the following week on Wednesday, February 9 and Thursday, February 10 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM. Please select just one.
To attend a Gathering you must be fully vaccinated and boosted and we will require that face masks be worn during the gathering. Refreshments will NOT be served.
If you wish to attend one of the gatherings, would you please register
(as you did to attend Mass some months ago).
We look forward to seeing you there. If you have already attended a gathering you need not attend.
Don't worry if you cannot attend, we are planning other efforts to get information material to as many parishioners as possible.
A Prayer...
Let not our souls be busy inns that have no room for you and yours, but quiet homes of prayer and praise where you may find fit company; where the needful cares of life are wisely ordered and put away; and wild sweet spaces kept for you, where holy thoughts pass up and down, and fervent longings watch and wait you're coming. Amen.

$1.5 MILLION CAMPAIGN FOR ST ANN CHURCH LAUNCHED
We have begun our campaign, and things will ramp up in January. I am grateful to say that we have received or have pledges for $540,000.00 toward our goal of $1.5 Million!! More information will appear on our website
in late January.
ANNOUNCING GENERATIONS OF FAITH PROGRAM
Planning is underway to transition to a new Faith Formation format known as Generations of Faith. It is an approach to faith formation involving the whole family, children, parents and grandparents, once a month, except the summer months. This means abandoning the classroom model we had pre-pandemic, except for first communion preparation and confirmation preparation. The possibilities are very exciting.
Detailed information to come with a special edition of these Updates next week and on the new website to be unveiled next week.
SERVICE AVAILABLE TO ALL PARISHIONERS FOR FREE
We have subscribed to the service
FORMED
from the Augustine Institute. It is freely available to all parishioners of our parishes.
"Discover thousands of books, audio talks, movies, documentaries, and studies... there is something for every member of the family to help them grow closer to Christ and His Church."
From the publisher.
It is especially rich in material for children and young adults. We hope to make use of their resources in our Faith Formation program and for first communion, confirmation and marriage preparation.
If you know of someone who is not receiving these Updates, kindly suggest that they can subscribe through our website - avptriparish.org.
